SCOTCH WICHMANN is a stand-up comedian whose zany work has been compared to "eating, snorting, and freebasing . . . then reaching for the turkey baster" by the San Francisco Chronicle.  With over-the-top energy and a culture critic's eye, his frenetic and edgy riffs explore a new American male warped by a trailerpark childhood, his father's six wives, an army of shrinks, and Hollywood obsessions.  He also works as a fast-paced M.C., keeping crowds laughing before national headliners like Joe Klocek (Last Comic Standing) and Kurtis Matthews (Celebrity Rehab).  He's a member of San Francisco's traveling Standup Project troupe, and frequently performs with the hilarious and snarky KayDee Kersten as The Roughhausers (www.theroughhausers.com).

A finalist in San Francisco's 2009 Battle of the Bay comedy competition, Scotch got his start as a performance artist in Los Angeles, where his experimental live works were featured at venues like the L.A. Performing Arts Center, Museum of Contemporary Art, HIGHWAYS, and the University of California.  Following a two-year stint as a radio announcer for 1340 KKAM in Fresno, California, he attracted a swarm of press from CNN, NBC, FOX, NPR, Maxim, The Washington Post, and The New York Times as the crazy spokesman for cracked-out coffee company Meth Coffee (www.methcoffee.com).

Scotch was recently featured for five whole seconds on the BBC, and performs at clubs across the country like the Improv, Purple Onion, and NYC's Gotham Comedy Club.  Catch him cutting his chops weekly at The Clubhouse in San Francisco, or tune in to his Roughhausers podcast with KayDee Kersten.
